Politicians at the Capitol are moving forward with efforts to put a "Right To Work" constitutional ammendment on the ballot next Novemeber.

Right to Work sounds innocent enough in name, but in reality it is yet another corporate attack on middle class (Source: St. Paul Union Advocate)

Constitutional Amendment: Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to guarantee all citizens the individual freedom to decide to join or not join a labor union; to remain or leave a labor union; or to pay or not pay dues, fees, assessments, or other charges of any kind to a labor union or any affiliated third party or charity, without having it affect their employment status?

Membership

Membership to Roofers Local 96 and the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers has many benefits and privileges.  As a brother or sister of the local union you have a voice in receiving competetive wages, health insurance for you and your family, education benefits, on the job safety protection, a pension plan and a burial benefit.

How Do I Become A Member?

Local 96 is a referral hall, which means that the hall may refer you to one of our contract companies, but you are ultimately responsible for finding a job.  Employers do reserve the right to not hire those referred through this office.
